Squirrels is the Scout Association's newest section, designed for young people aged 4 - 6 meeting as part of a Drey. Sessions will be packed with outdoors activities, fun, games, badges, laughter, and so much more to help our youngest members learn the skills they need for life.
Following a programme based around badges perfect for anyone who’s ever asked ‘Why?’ (or ‘Why not?’), Squirrels will work towards their Chief Scouts' Acorn award during their first steps in the scouting movement.
Scouts is an inclusive movement, meaning we are open to all genders, backgrounds, and faiths (including people of no faith). We know how important it's for some parents/carers to want to see their young person having fun. So parents/carers will have the option to stick around during the one-hour sessions.
Squirrels is a recent addition to the scouting family and thus we are looking to open more dreys across the district. If you think you can assist please get in touch
If you'd like your child to join Scouts, or if you're interested in volunteering, please get in touch with your local group.
