SLAMFest is happening in 9 weeks
To mark our district having besing established for 25 years, we want to bring everyone together for a fantatic weekend of fun activities and celebrations.
SLAMFest will be our first ever district camp, so for some it will be their first "big camp" and it promises to be an amazing experience.
As part of our anniversary celebrations, we are holding a badge competition for all young people in the District. Please share the following templates with your sections - completed designs can be sent to slamfest@slamscouts.org.uk or handed in for the April Leaders' Meeting.

Planning is still in the early stages, but over the next few months lots more information will be released, so keep an eye on the website and social media for updates.
All groups and members from South Leeds & Morley District are invited
We want to celebrate with everyone from the district!
Groups will be camping together, like we did at Challenge '23, so you'll already know plenty of people but you'll get to join in with everyone else from across the district over the three day event.
We're also hoping that former volunteers from the last few decades will be able to come along too, to join in with the celebrations and so that we can recognise their contribution to our district.
Bookings will be done though via your groups, who will work with district to make sure that everyone who wants to come along can do.
It's likely that we will start to ask for rough group numbers after Christmas, so look out for emails and more updates from your section leaders.
The programme is still in the early stages of development, but we can tell you what some of the activities we're planning are:
Absolutely, we currently have a small core team but still have plenty of space for volunteers for a range of tasks, please head over to our volunteering page and fill in the form there, or speak to one of the district team.
