South Leeds & Morley Scouts are looking for new Trustees to join our District Trustee Board.
Our Trustees play a vital role in making sure Scouting across the district is safe, well-run, and has the resources it needs to thrive. You don’t need Scouting experience — just skills, experience, and enthusiasm to help with things like:
✅ Oversight of budgets and fundraising
✅ Helping manage buildings, equipment, and resources
✅ Supporting strategy and decision-making
✅ Ensuring we meet our responsibilities as a charity
This is a voluntary role, but one that makes a real difference to hundreds of young people across our community. It’s also a great opportunity to develop your own skills, meet new people, and give something back.
We’re particularly keen to hear from people with experience in finance, property, HR, governance, or charity work — but if you’re organised, committed, and keen to help, we’d love to hear from you.
📅 Our Annual General Meeting is on Wednesday 10th September at 7pm.
We have three vacancies on the Trustee Board (our Chair and Treasurer are not up for election this year). Trustees are appointed for three years.
We are also looking for a Secretary to support trustee meetings — if that’s something you could help with, we’d love to hear from you.
